If you call after hours, we do have voicemail, and we can ring you back in the morning to arrange an appoint with you. Online bookings are also available, although generally not for emergencies.

  • What is a Dental Implant?

A dental implant is an artificial tooth. The implant fixture is like the root of a tooth it is below the gums and fixed to the jaw, it sup¬ports one or more artificial teeth.

In short, they are the nearest thing to have your natural teeth back again.

If your bone is too thin or soft to support an implant, a bone graft may be used to build up the jaw.

Dental implants can replace teeth without affecting the neighbouring teeth.

Dental Implants are a fixed solution that feel and function like normal teeth meaning they don’t move which means that you can eat and smile with confidence.

In short, they are the nearest thing to have your natural teeth back again.

Our Implants and are of the highest quality. Our planning process is thorough, the treatments are gentle and minimally invasive. The results are dental implants that are positioned to look beautifully natural, work like a tooth and are easy to maintain.

    Benefits of Dental Implant Treatment

    • A well positioned dental implant will allow a beautiful natural blending with your other teeth and work as a reliable chewing unit

    • A dental implant is the closest replacement that you can get to a natural, healthy tooth.

    • A dental implant can help preserve the overall structure of the mouth by keeping the other teeth from drifting into empty spaces - into unnatural positions and preserve the jaw bones

  • What is Invisalign?

Invisalign® is an orthodontic product to effectively help correct a number of different orthodontic issues and gives you a balanced, even smile. Because it involves the use of clear, removable aligners, this method of straightening teeth can be more flexible and less noticeable than solutions like traditional metal braces.

  • What are the main benefits of Dental Implants?

    • Replace loose-fitting dentures

    • Maintain bone structure after tooth loss

    • Improve the appearance of your smile

    • Function and feel just like natural teeth

    • Improve chewing and speaking

    • Prevent bone loss

    • Long term solution

    • High success rate

    • Cost effective in the long run

Den¬tal implant treatment is a well-established, safe and long-lasting tooth replace-ment solution. Replacing missing teeth is important in order to keep your teeth, gums and jawbone healthy. A face without teeth can change shape and become saggy. Dental implants help to retain your natural face structure shape and function.

Many patients describe their dental implants as being even better than their original teeth in their strongest and healthiest state. Get ready to crunch down on a crispy baguette for the first time in years, or to enjoy a refreshingly cool ice cream free from the fear of triggering an ache from sensitive teeth.

  • What sorts of oral surgery does Alice Dental perform?

    Wisdom Teeth:

Wisdom teeth, otherwise known as third molars, are the last set of teeth to develop. Sometimes these teeth emerge from the gum line and the jaw is large enough to allow room for them, but most of the time, this is not the case. More often, one or more of these third molars fails to emerge in proper alignment or fails to fully emerge through the gum line and becomes entrapped or “impacted” between the jawbone and the gum tissue. Impacted wisdom teeth can result in swelling, pain, and infection of the gum tissue surrounding the wisdom teeth. In addition, impacted wisdom teeth can cause permanent damage to nearby teeth, gums, and bone and can sometimes lead to the formation of cysts or tumors that can destroy sections of the jaw. Therefore, dentists recommend people with impacted wisdom teeth have them surgically removed.

    Other teeth as well:

It’s not just wisdom teeth that sometimes become impacted and need to be removed. Other teeth, such as the cuspids and the bicuspids can become impacted and can cause the same types of problems described with impacted wisdom teeth.

If you are experiencing pain in this area and your wisdom teeth are giving you trouble please phone our friendly staff who will help you by making you a consult appointment with one of our expert Dentists.

You will be advised to pick up referral from our front office to get an OPG x-ray done at the Alice Springs Hospital prior to your consult appointment. This OPG x-ray will show us how impacted your wisdom teeth are and if it is possible to remove them here at Alice Dental or whether you are to be referred onto an oral surgeon. If you already have a recent OPG to bring along to your appointment, please advise our staff.

  • How are models of my teeth made?

In the past, goopy impressions were used to take molds of patients teeth. This time consuming and somewhat inaccruate means of representing the human mouth.

At Alice Dental Associates, we pride ourselves on being very much in the digital age. We use state of the art intraoral cameras to digitally map your teeth, which are then sent to the dental technicians to make your crown, denture, implant, or veneer.

  • Do you offer cold sore treatment?

We offer laser treatment for cold sores. Laser treatment is a quick and effective approach to cure cold sores by reducing pain and discomfort and promoting rapid healing of sores.
